Introduction
This blueprint outlines how the NHS, Integrated Care Systems and the physical activity sector can collaborate to shift healthcare towards prevention, community delivery and digital innovation. It identifies eight components—including senior‑level governance, local partnerships, data sharing, evidence‑based physical activity pathways, elective‑recovery support, boosting economic productivity, coordinated public engagement, and scaling sustainable programmes—to reduce healthcare demand, improve treatment outcomes and stimulate economic growth. The model provides a flexible framework for embedding physical activity across population health strategies and service delivery.
