Martyn Brett-Lee has been the UK Managing Director of PureGym, the country’s largest gym operator, since March 2025. With 25 years of experience, he’s a seasoned leader in driving large operations through growth, having held senior roles across international retail, hospitality, and leisure brands.
A passionate runner and fitness fan, Martyn led the team that opened a gym a week in 2025, expanding the UK estate to over 460 locations and serving 1.8 million members. He’s committed to improving operations and building diverse, high-performing teams to help PureGym fulfil its mission to inspire a healthier nation through affordable, flexible, high-quality fitness for communities across the UK.
