Andrew Denton has worked in outdoor recreation and sport since 1984, with brands including Rohan, Mountain Equipment and Ronhill. He co-owned Mountain Equipment for 17 years and later Parthian Climbing, operating six UK walls. Since 2012 he has focused on the non-profit sector and is now CEO of the Outdoor Industries Association, representing the UK outdoor industry nationally and internationally. He has held numerous advisory and board roles across participation, policy and sustainability, and has contributed to UK government strategy on outdoor recreation. A Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and Royal Society of Arts, Andrew is also an accomplished endurance athlete and mountaineer.
