Adam Thompson, MP for Erewash, shares his experience of taking part in ukactive and Technogym’s Fit for Office challenge, which has seen a record number of Parliamentarians compete to be the most active.
Fit for Office has been great for my team! We’re all very competitive so it’s been a great motivator getting people more active.
My team and I have been motivated to put in a few extra sessions at the gym to keep high up on the leader board.
Overall, the competition has made us all try a little harder to stay fit and we all hope to keep our good new habits long after the contest has ended.
About the Fit for Office challenge
The aim of the Fit for Office challenge is to encourage Parliamentarians and their staff to move more and recognise the importance of physical activity for the nation’s health, wellbeing, and growth.
262 MPs, Peers and staff, representing 70 Parliamentary offices, are taking part in this year’s challenge, which runs throughout June.
