Introduction
The Northern Ireland Member Network event outlined ukactive’s Vision 2030 and its goal of enabling five million more people to regularly access gyms, pools and leisure facilities. The presentation highlighted ukactive’s core functions: sector intelligence, risk and standards, lobbying, and growth support, with top member risks including cyber security, cost‑of‑living pressures, energy costs, recruitment and H&S incidents. Sessions also focused on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, showcasing the Inclusive Maturity Model and EDI toolkit, plus ukactive’s Next Generation strategy, which supports rising participation among children and young people. Overall, the event centred on strengthening sector resilience, inclusion and future growth.
