Introduction
The British Active Students Survey (6,891 students from 104 HEIs) shows that active students report higher personal wellbeing, mental wellbeing, social inclusion, perceived academic attainment, and employability than inactive peers. Over half met CMO activity guidelines, while 7% were inactive. Students participating in both sport and gym activities experienced the greatest benefits. The biggest barrier to being active was study workload (76%), followed by cost and socialising. Female students more often cited body confidence issues. The report concludes that increased physical activity opportunities within HEIs can significantly improve student health, success, and future employability
