Sonia Adesara is an NHS GP and is the non-executive Director for Health for UKActive. Alongside being a fitness enthusiast herself, she is passionate about the benefits of physical activity on health, wellbeing and communities.
She has previously worked in national health policy, as a former National Medical Director’s Clinical fellow, and for the cancer charity Macmillan.
She is the vice chair of the Fabian Society, a public policy think-tank. She has published widely in national media and academic journals and is regularly featured on the broadcast media, discussing health and politics.
