ukactive has today (6 February) revealed the full agenda for the premier boutique fitness event, Sweat, which includes a session on the industry’s hottest topic: aggregators.
As part of the agenda, now available on the Sweat website, ukactive has announced keynote speaker Richard Buchanan, Managing Director and Founder of The Clearing, who will explore the latest insights in branding and maintaining your brand’s edge.
He joins a stellar line-up including Midtown Athletic’s Richard Earney, and Sweat favourite Emma Barry, a founding member of Les Mills International.
Masterclasses and keynote sessions reveal a focus on expansion, branding investment, creating a space, learning from mistakes, new audiences, technology and aggregators.
The news coincides with an announcement that Technogym has agreed a three-year deal as Headline Partner, building on its association with Sweat from previous years.
The boutique event, now in its fourth year, will be hosted at a new venue for 2020 – The Old Truman Brewery in East London.
Huw Edwards, CEO of ukactive, said: “The boutique industry is evolving fast, with many new operators coming to the market and more established gyms looking to consolidate their position.
“We are delighted to announce such an incredible line-up of speakers from across the global boutique landscape, combined with some of the most exciting developments the sector has witnessed.”
Stephen Barton, Managing Director at Technogym UK, said: “We are delighted to be announced as the headline sponsor of Sweat for the next three years.
“It is an exciting time for the boutique industry and sponsoring this event gives Technogym the opportunity to support; to share knowledge, provide insight and offer education as the market continues to shape and evolve.
“We highly value our partnership with ukactive, being the leading industry body in physical activity, therefore we are pleased to enhance this collaborative partnership by committing to a further three years to support ukactive in getting more people more active more often, which fits perfectly with our mission to spread the wellness lifestyle.
“We are really looking forward to this year’s Sweat event – especially with the new, exciting angle of having three of our partners from Europe contributing to the panel discussion by sharing their industry experiences, know-how and vision.”
