Atherton,\u00a0shares her experience of taking part in ukactive and Technogym\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ukactive.com\/cy\/news\/who-is-fit-for-office-westminsters-physical-activity-champions-crowned-following-record-year-for-entrants\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fit for Office<\/a> challenge, which saw a record number of Parliamentarians compete to be the most active.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Physical activity has always been an important part of maintaining both my physical and mental wellbeing.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Like many people, I sometimes find it difficult to fit exercise into a busy schedule, but even a short walk, a cycle ride, or time spent outdoors can make a real difference to how I feel.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Movement isn&#8217;t just about fitness \u2013 it&#8217;s about feeling healthier, reducing stress, building confidence and connecting with our communities.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;That&#8217;s why it&#8217;s so important that everyone, regardless of age, background or ability, has the opportunity to be active in a way that works for them.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As the MP for Leigh and Atherton, I know how valuable access to local leisure facilities, green spaces and community sports initiatives can be in helping people lead healthier lives.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Encouraging physical activity is one of the simplest and most effective ways we can improve health and wellbeing across our communities.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I am proud to support efforts that inspire people to move more, and I encourage everyone to find an activity they enjoy \u2013 because every step, swim, cycle or workout can contribute to a healthier and happier future.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the Fit for Office challenge<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The aim of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ukactive.com\/cy\/news\/who-is-fit-for-office-westminsters-physical-activity-champions-crowned-following-record-year-for-entrants\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fit for Office<\/a>\u00a0challenge is to encourage Parliamentarians and their staff to move more and recognise the importance of physical activity for the nation\u2019s health, wellbeing, and growth.<\/p>\n<p>This year, a record 262 MPs, Peers and staff, representing 70 Parliamentary offices took part throughout June.<\/p>\n<p><b>To find out more, click <a
