The role of physical activity, sport, and recreation should be fundamental to this. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cukactive\u2019s recent <a href=\"http:\/\/research\/\">ymchwil<\/a> with Savanta showed that 78% of respondents said improving their mental health and wellbeing \u2013 including managing anxiety and\/or depression \u2013 was an important factor in their decision to join a gym. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPhysical activity plays a critical role in preventing physical and mental ill health, and the sector is already demonstrating its ability to support people back into the workplace, through programmes such as MSK (musculoskeletal) hubs.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf the Government is serious about reducing economic inactivity, it should also be focussing on prevention of ill-health by unlocking the potential of the physical activity sector to deliver on the ambitions set out in the <i>Get Active <\/i>strategy.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe urge the Prime Minister to look not just at the system but also the solutions to addressing the health and wellbeing problems that run like fault lines through our communities.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>ukactive will review the
