Rydym yn wynebu costau economaidd digynsail a phwysau cynyddol ar y GIG, wedi&#x27;i ysgogi gan ordewdra ar record, a phroblemau sy&#x27;n gysylltiedig ag iechyd cyhyrysgerbydol ac iechyd meddwl. Mae bron i un o bob pum person rhwng 16 a 64 oed yn dweud bod ganddynt broblem iechyd sy&#x27;n cyfyngu ar eu gallu i weithio, gyda record o 2.6 miliwn bellach allan o waith oherwydd salwch hirdymor. Mae hyn yn cynyddu o ran amlder ymysg pobl 18 i 24 oed, gyda&#x27;r nifer sy&#x27;n gadael gwaith amser llawn oherwydd salwch wedi dyblu yn y degawd diwethaf.<\/p>\n<p>Rhaid i fynd i\u2019r afael \u00e2\u2019\u0e02\u0e2d\u0e07\u0e40\u0e23\u0e32 iechyd gwael sylfaenol fod yn flaenoriaeth genedlaethol i\u2019 \u0989\u09ad\u09af\u09bc arweinydd wrth iddynt geisio ffurfio\u2019r Llywodraeth nesaf.<\/p>\n<p>Fel man cychwyn, dylai\u2019r ddau arweinydd edrych i harneisio cymhellion cynyddol y cyhoedd i wella eu hiechyd, a gallu llawn y sector chwaraeon a gweithgaredd corfforol i helpu i yrru gwelliannau iechyd y cyhoedd.<\/p>\n<p>Yr wythnos hon, bydd cannoedd o filoedd yn fwy o bobl yn ymuno neu&#x27;n ail-ymuno \u00e2 champfa, pwll nofio, neu ganolfan hamdden wrth iddynt osod eu huchelgeisiau iechyd ar gyfer y flwyddyn. Ac eto, mae eu cymhellion yn amrywio llawer mwy na&#x27;r canfyddiad hanesyddol o ddim ond bod eisiau &quot;cael ffitrwydd&quot;. Mae Polau Ymgysylltu Defnyddwyr newydd gan ukactive a Savanta yn dangos bod cymhellion pobl dros gymryd allan aelodaeth yn amrywio rhwng rheoli cyflwr iechyd (55%), gwella iechyd meddwl a lles (78%), gwella hyder (75%), ac atal salwch ac anafiadau.<\/p>\n<p>Mae'r meysydd cymhelliant hyn yn cyd-fynd yn union \u00e2'r prif faterion iechyd cyhoeddus y wynebwn fel cenedl. Mae llawer o bobl eisiau gwella eu iechyd a'39;u lles fel y gallant fyw bywydau actif a boddhaus yn y gwaith ac gyda theulu a ffrindiau. O ganlyniad, mae egin gwyrdd sut rydym yn ceisio gwella ein iechyd gwael yn gorwedd yn y cymhellion greddfol hyn. Dylai'r Llywodraeth fanteisio ar hyn, gan weithio mewn partneriaeth \u00e2'r sector chwaraeon a gweithgaredd corfforol, i helpu miliynau yn fwy o bobl i gyflawni eu nodau iechyd.<\/p>\n<p>Am too hir, mae\u2019r sector hwn wedi bod ar gyrion meddwl llawer o Lywodraethau, ac yn rhy aml fe\u2019i nodweddir fel rhywbeth \u2019braf i\u2019ampael\u201c, gan gael ei weld bron yn unig drwy lens digwyddiadau chwaraeon mawr. O ganlyniad, nid yw\u2019r gwerth sylweddol y gall y sector ei ddarparu yn cael ei gydnabod yn llawn.<\/p>\n<p>Nid oes unrhyw Lywodraeth erioed wedi llwyddo i ddefnyddio'r sector i geisio mynd i'r afael ag iechyd yn y gweithle, er gwaethaf tystiolaeth y dylai wneud hynny. Dangosodd adroddiad diweddar gan Deloitte y gallai'r budd economaidd posibl, o ran arbedion gofal iechyd a mwy o gynhyrchiant, o gael gweithwyr anweithredol i fod yn weithredol fod werth hyd at \u00a317 biliwn i'r DU.<\/p>\n<p>Mae angen i ni weld cynlluniau sy'n mynd ymhell y tu hwnt i safbwyntiau polisi cyfredol, gan gynnwys cefnogaeth lawn i integreiddio'r sector \u00e2'r GIG, mynd i'r afael \u00e2 darpariaeth hirdymor pyllau unofio a chyfleusterau hamdden, a diwygio'r system drethu a rheoleiddio sy'n atal uchelgeisiau ehangu'r sector preifat, gan gyfyngu ar nifer y defnyddwyr.<\/p>\n<p>Mae'r DU yn syrthio ar \u00f4l ei chymdogion Ewropeaidd o ran lefelau gweithgaredd corfforol, ond mae cyrff diwydiant blaenllaw yn y sector yn unedig yn eu uchelgeisiau i wneud hon y genedl fwyaf actif yn Ewrop.
